About Us
I grew up in a neighborhood just outside of the city of York in Yorkshire, England. York is a beautiful, historic city.
As a little girl I was obsessed with dogs and learned about all the dog breeds I could. I desperately wanted a dog—any dog! I didn’t care what breed! A little Yorkshire Terrier named Pepi lived next door to my grandma and every Saturday, when visiting grandma, I’d go visit Pepi.
When I was nine years old, finally the most exciting day of my life (up to that point) came, and I was given the gift of my first puppy! He was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and we named him Prince. (Pictured above.)
Fast forward nine years and I opened my own dog grooming salon in York called K-9 Clips. I ran K-9 Clips from February 1988 until December 1999, when I moved to Florida and got married.
My husband and I settled in Brooksville. I continued dog grooming. He became a graphic designer and opened our other family business, Arnold Creative Services. We sell printing, signs, banners, custom apparel, advertising specialties, and promotional products. We can put your logo, message or photo on over a million products! We have two sons. Our eldest is a very successful computer coding expert now living in California. Our youngest son runs a brand scaling business; he helps businesses grow through social media ads. He still lives at home with us.
Bronte (above) was my first Yorkshire Terrier and the foundation of my breeding program and is still doing fabulous at ten years old.
If I had known when I was that little girl, who was obsessed with dogs, that one day I would be surrounded by these adorable Yorkies and having the amazing experience of delivering puppies, watching pups grow, experiencing the bond between mom and babies, and helping families choose their new family member, I just wouldn’t have believed it. I couldn’t have dreamed of anything better!
All dogs are amazing wonderful creatures, and I have other breeds I admire (Whippets being another Yorkshire favorite) but Yorkshire Terriers are truly special and endearing toy dogs. Yorkies love to be near you, are very social, and thrive on love and attention. They don’t shed, which is a big plus, and being small enough to ride in a purse, make traveling together super easy!
They are nicknamed "Velcro dogs" because they love to be near you and it’s often said “Yorkies are like potato chips; you can’t have just one!” :)
