Looking for a male Yorkie, the first place we went to look was the American Kennel Club which directed us to registered Yorkie breeders in our area. After reading through each Yorkie breeders resume, we quickly settled on Helen Arnold in Brooksville, FL. She breeds to AKC standards, and her stud is health tested and clear. Also, she has been grooming Yorkies for many years and is originally from York in England. I gave her a call, and we had a good conversation about the breed and how she operated. I was very confident after our talk that this would be an ideal breeder to get our Yorkie from. I went up to Brooksville two weeks later to see our Yorkie. He is beautiful, lively, intelligent and friendly. Helen also showed us the parents, a pair of beautifully groomed Yorkies. All the relevant documentation was presented plus how to look after Yorkies and some of her recommended puppy food. I was really happy and confident that I had made the right choice. I brought the Yorkie home (Alex) that day. He has really settled in well and made himself at home and I am confident I made the right choice.

Helen has been amazing to work with. You can tell instantly how dedicated she is to the puppies and how much love she gives them. I loved everything she told me about her puppies, and it is not difficult to see how nurturing she is. This is why I chose to get my Yorkie from her. I know she wants to find the right homes for her babies, and I felt very confident in her as a wonderful breeder. Helen’s puppies are all healthy and affectionate because they are raised with love and care.  My beautiful baby girl is an angel.  So sweet and loving with a great personality.  She took to me instantly. Helen was so sweet to put together a “going home” bag with food, toys and more.  I have had Yorkies before (from pups) but Helen gives you lots of info and advice.  I am sure anyone who is not familiar with the breed or with puppies will be so happy to have this wealth of info.  Helen is so patient and kind.  I look forward to adopting another puppy in the future.

Update:  My Cupcake is 2 years old now and is my greatest joy. She is the sweetest girl ever - so loving and affectionate.  Helen truly loves these babies and raises them for incredible dispositions and with tons of love. This is so obvious.

I wanted to advise how much I recommend Mrs. Helen Arnold for all she does for her pups and dogs. We have done our typical search on AKC breeders and called them to get to know them and ask our questions. After a while, though, I have realized that what makes a good breeder isn’t just about how well they can wean, well-behaved puppies, but it is how they connect with their clients; Helen is one of the best individuals in achieving this subtle trait. I highly value her Facebook page because I believe it is the best way to get to know her, or any breeder for that matter. When you meet her in person and make it to the phone call/interview stage, you want to get to know her because she is so personable and knowledgeable. I can tell she really cares for her puppies … she is respectful, compassionate, accommodating, and she maintains good communication and stays true to what she says about her policies and puppies…. Finally, one of the best things is that she has raised an angel of a puppy, our Amado. He was an angel in the car, ride home, and a happy, playful child of a puppy who loves belly, rubs, jaw, scratches, and crunchy ties. As I type this, he’s my study, buddy as he sleeps on my lap. Thank you, Helen, for Amado, and for blessing me and my significant other and interesting him to us. I’m sure for how much you care for each puppy you raise, picking the right family is of the utmost importance to you than a sale.

Wonderful experience - highly recommend! She made the whole process easier. I was a nervous first time Yorkie owner and had so many questions. She patiently took the time to answer each of them and provided excellent advice. She truly loves her puppies and wants the best for them. I picked up my Phoebe on Friday and it has been an amazing experience. How Helen handled my puppy prior to my picking her up directly mirrored what Caesar Milan mentions as signs of a good breeder. Helen gave her early training and excellent car that has made her a secure well behaved puppy. They set me up for success and the transition has been shockingly easy.

Putzi it’s now nine months old and he’s the perfect boy. Helen started calling him by his name that we chose and when he came home at 10 weeks, he knew his name. Really helps as we had another Yorkie. Her love and attention when they are pups comes through as older dogs as Putzi is very loving and loves to cuddle.
